The work Aqua Lung consists of two images depicting the upward motion of objects as they float to the surface of the ocean. Two calves lungs are released from the ocean bed, captured mid action as they float up to the surface. The images are installed in custom frames allowing the intake of steam from industrial machines in the space. The effect is a sauna in which the images take on the role of a respiratory system, inhaling the steam and exhaling again on a mechanical cycle reminiscent of an iron lung.
